In Shanghai I bought, at a secondhand camera market, a completely handmade camera – it leaked light all over the place and was very finicky, but with a few modifictaions and a lot of fiddling I got plenty of use out of it. These pictures were taken on two journeys – one by car the first time I travelled to my wife’s home town, and one by train when we went to register our marriage.
