{"id":254,"date":"2016-09-03T14:40:27","date_gmt":"2016-09-03T06:40:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lo-tan.com\/?p=254"},"modified":"2016-09-15T16:25:50","modified_gmt":"2016-09-15T08:25:50","slug":"lukstudio-xlb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peterdixie.com\/en\/lukstudio-xlb\/","title":{"rendered":"LXB Noodles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This popular noodle restaurant on a pedestrianised shopping street close to the river in Changsha has been given a facade of moulded concrete and weathering steel.<\/p>\n<p>The form used for the facade, a sheet of vertical split bamboo strips, is used as a front piece for the restaurant&#8217;s service counter.<\/p>\n<p>Space within the restaurant is divided by gridded metal frames which rise from the floor to a high ceiling. Suspended here are steel cable &#8216;noodles&#8217; hanging in deeply looping rows forming a sculptural ceiling.
